My wife and I want to express our disdain for the proposal to expand the Senedd. Firstly, if you look at the number of Senedd members in relation to the Welsh population and compare that to the number of members in the Scottish Parliament and the size of their population, we do not need any further members. Secondly, the Senedd has embarked on a spending spree and wasteful management of money that has included introduction of a blanket 20mph speed limit at a cost of 32million, abandoned plans for a Newport M4 relief road at a cost of 100 million, had to give back 150 miliion of unpsent money to central government, has spent 52 million on buying Cardiff airport which is now worth 15 million (2021 costs), and spent 4.25 million on the Green Man festival farm site. Against this background, the Senedd is now cutting the health budget which will reduce bed availability and will not give health care workers, doctors, and GPs a decent wage rise. Our son is a GP and is going part time and will probably move to England.
Shame on you.
